Frequently Asked Questions...
Is there a route map for Northwest Air online anywhere?
I can't find a route map for NWA. I want to know where they go from SFO. They claim to have a route map on their web site, but all it seems to do is to show what cities they have service in.
Answer:
You have to fly to their hub or other connecting cities, and then try to get to your destination from there. It's a shame it's not online, that kind of map is usually found in their seatback magazine.

What You Should See In Central Western Australia
When you need extraordinary trekking trails, be sure you see Karijini. This has some of the best trekking trails in the Pilbara region.
There are trekking trails appropriate for all stages of experience, from grade 6 (available to accredited hikers or hiring a guide) right down to grade 3. There are some of the most extraordinary gorges with marvelous designs. One trail includes a 40 metre abseil over a waterfall. If you're lucky, you'll get to watch two or three wedgetailed eagles, which can have a wingspan of 300 centimetres!
With its steep gorges, Karijini is at a greater possibility of flash flooding. A few people have been killed when flood levels rose swiftly and washed them onto rocks. Not long ago a rescue worker was drowned attempting a rescue. Be safe and don't put yourself or the lives of people trying to rescue you at risk. Make sure to notify the ranger where and when you plan to go and walk in pairs or groups.
Karijini features an eco retreat in case you want mor than a basic tent. All of these come with solar hot water and raised platforms for the tents. Alternatively, you'll be able to take your own private tent or even bring a caravan. If you don't care about the drive into Newman every day and plan to enjoy a touch more ease and comfort, lodge at the Mia Mia hotel operated by Auzcorp.
Karijini is about 4 hours to the south of Port Hedland, one of the main transport hubs in the Pilbara region. As you go, you can see the red earth which makes the Pilbara region so well known. You will discover very few trees out there. Primarily just red earth, spinifex and gravel. There are numerous shrubbery such as the resistant saltbush, however spinifex rules this area.
