PADDS
The Sanswire Precision Air Drop Delivery System (PADDS), a TAO patented technology, is unique compared to conventional parachute systems. PADDS is an autonomous, parachute-based load deposit system with the advantage of increased targeted precision combined with a large operating range and near-independence of weather conditions. An autonomous ParaWing recovery system for high-altitude platform payloads is currently being developed by Sanswire-TAO. The aim is to develop a scalable load deposit system suitable for various payloads and high altitudes. The system is based on a Rogallo parachute and an autonomous control unit.
Autonomous Landing System ‘PADDS’ for immediate aid
If transportation routes have become inaccessible through disasters such as earthquakes and floods, then help has to come from the air. Sanswire-TAO has an autonomously
flying parachute ‘PADDS’ for a safe deposit of goods, such as food, accommodations and energy systems from the air. The PADDS-Para glider is dropped from a plane or a helicopter and can land autonomously with great precision at a predetermined destination. It is small and light and easy to re-use.
