what are some things that will keep me from being scared on an airplane?

okay so I am going to Europe in july and I am going to be on a 10 hour flight when I leave.
I am scared the plane will crash or something because a week ago an airplane crashed here and everyone that was in the airplane died on impact. what are somethings I can take or do when I am on the airplane to Europe?
also. I have my lip, nose and ears pierced will I have to take those out at the air port?
